The FREQUENCY CONVERTER Type 5264 is a didactically prepared training system for drive technology and automation technology. It enables EMC-compliant commissioning, parameterisation and protection-function testing of a digital frequency converter and can be extended with the AC MOTOR BOARD Type 5265.

Learning Objectives

The frequency converter is used to practice EMC-compliant connection and commissioning of digital frequency converters.

The exercises cover programming and checking drive and protection functions, interpreting fault messages and troubleshooting.

In addition, central operation and monitoring at the PC and connection to automation systems via Profibus are addressed.

Functions

The frequency converter provides a wide range of parameters for the broadest application area and offers programmable input and output functions.

Sensorless vector control with adaptive motor model, the digital PID controller and automatic parameter adaptation during load changes are designed for practical drive experiments.

Accessories and Extension

The delivery includes 4 mm safety connection plugs and a mains cable.

The unit can be extended with the AC MOTOR BOARD Type 5265; the experiment manual Type V 0023 DE is recommended as well.
