INSTALLATION BOARD Type 2401.1

The INSTALLATION BOARD Type 2401.1 is a compact training unit for KNX building services technology. It includes all important basic components, can be expanded with additional KNX devices, and can be used as a desktop unit, in a demonstration rack, or in a box.

  • Compact training unit for KNX building services technology
  • All essential basic components included, single-phase mains outlet sufficient
  • Additional KNX devices from different manufacturers can be mounted on the integrated top-hat rail
  • Integrated bus detector for displaying bus activity
  • Integration of conventional installation technology possible
  • Programming through the integrated USB interface

System Setup

The INSTALLATION BOARD is a training unit for experiments on KNX building services technology.

All important basic components required for KNX training are built in. For expansion, a top-hat rail is mounted on the front so that additional KNX devices from various manufacturers can be fitted.

Templates with printed floor plans can be placed on the front of the INSTALLATION BOARD to define tasks.

  • 29 V / 500 mA power supply for KNX components via the bus
  • Choke
  • USB data interface
  • 4-fold binary input
  • 4-fold switching actuator
  • Flush-mounted bus coupler
  • Pushbutton sensor with 4 pairs of buttons and programmable LED indicators

Accessories and Use

Inputs and outputs are wired via 4 mm safety sockets. Bus connection and 29 V supply for external devices are provided via 2 mm sockets.

The INSTALLATION BOARD can be used on a desk, in a demonstration rack or in a box. The box ensures transport and storage; experiments can also be performed directly on the opened case.

  • 4 mm safety leads
  • USB connecting cable, 3 m (Type 9102.54)
  • ETS5 software via KNX account
  • Experiment manual Type V 0118-V4 "KNX building services technology"
  • Expansion options: EXTENSION BOARD Type 2402 and demonstration plates for the European Installation Bus
  • Usable as desktop unit, in a demonstration rack, or as a mobile training unit in a box
  • No ETS5 software included; it must be ordered directly from KNX
